That is the work of the day. Alex guides you, through conversation, stillness and attention, toward what you have carried and never spoken. Nothing is scripted. Nothing is performed. When you are ready, you sit in a quiet room. There is no camera in sight, only the face of the person you are speaking to, your wife, your son, your father, looking back at you. You speak to them, and we record it.
Years from now, when they press play, you will be looking straight at them.

The leather booklet
A leather-bound journal arrives in the post, with exercises and methods to begin the work at home. By the time you walk in, you are already on your way.
Two nights, one day
A private place in Dutch nature. A chef, a fire, no other guests. The body is part of the listening; the land is part of the room.
The recording
No camera in sight. A beautiful room, and the face of the person you love. You speak to them; we record it.
Your films, finished
Shot and cut by a filmmaker of fifteen years. Delivered within two weeks.
The encrypted archive
Only the people you choose will ever see it. Your wishes for release are put in writing, and kept.
The annual return
Each year, if you wish, a new layer. Over a decade, a library your children inherit.

He built a film company to near-million revenue, then deliberately scaled it down when he saw what the work actually was. Not the camera. The presence that lets a man be met, perhaps for the first time, while the lens is running.
On your day there is no crew and no other guest. Alex gives you his whole attention. The first Testament he recorded was his own.

What if I freeze in front of the camera?
Most men expect to. Nothing is recorded until you are ready, and the whole day exists to get you there. You won’t see a camera, only the face of the person you are speaking to.
Who sees the films?
Only the people you choose, when you choose. Your wishes for release are put in writing and kept, including what happens after you are gone.
Is this therapy?
No. Nothing about you needs fixing. Testament is a guided experience that ends in a film. If you are in crisis, Alex will say so and point you somewhere better suited.
Where does it take place?
A private place in Dutch nature, within easy reach of Amsterdam. The exact location is shared once your date is held.
Can my family come?
Not on the day. The day is yours alone, so you can speak without managing anyone in the room. They meet you through the films.
What happens to my archive if something happens to me?
It is released exactly as you instructed in writing, to the people you named. The custodians keep it for as long as your family needs it.
How far ahead should I plan?
Plan several months ahead. Only a few days are held each year, and 3 places remain in 2026. After that, applications join the 2027 waitlist in the order they arrive, and Alex contacts you as soon as a date opens.
Why are there no testimonials?
What men say here is never for public use. Everyone who touches this work is bound to silence by contract. You will find a conversation with Alex instead, and you can judge for yourself.
